Dr. Daphne Parliari Wins Young Scientist Conference Award (YSCA) for Excellence in Atmospheric Health Research

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Daphne Parliari has been awarded the prestigious Young Scientist Conference Award (YSCA) by the European Meteorological Society (EMS) — a major recognition of her outstanding scientific contributions at the early stage of her career.

The award was presented during the 12th International Conference on Urban Climate (ICUC12), held this July in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where Dr. Parliari also presented cutting-edge research from the LIFE SIRIUS project on the intersection of thermal stress, air pollution, and human mortality.

About the EMS Young Scientist Conference Award

The EMS Young Scientist Conference Award is granted annually to early-career researchers under the age of 35 who demonstrate exceptional scientific performance in meteorology or atmospheric sciences. It acknowledges the impact of their published research or conference presentations, providing visibility and support to emerging scientific leaders across Europe.
